Clearwell Castle, Forest of Dean, Gloucestshire
Back in 2019 Catherine and Jamie got in touch with me to photograph their October 2019 wedding. Myself, Jazmine (my 2nd photographer) and Alys (my videographer) were booked for a full day. From bridal prep to just after first dance.
I loved getting to know these two. Catherine studying Midwifery, Jamie in the building trade and 4 children, one in which was only a few months old. They love having a laugh and a joke and it was a real pleasure to capture their day.
They both planned their wedding at Clearwell Castle. A gothic revival house constructed in the early 1700s, set in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. I don't know about you, but I love old buildings and their history!
Both Jamie and Catherine got ready in the Castle grounds after Catherine and bridesmaids stayed at The Wyndham just down the road. They were then married in the ballroom of the castle - FAIRYTALE!!
Their day went smoothly, and although it rained we still managed to get out and grab a few moments of reflection. Capturing just the two of them.
After a lovely day, everyone went downstairs to The Cellars to liven things up and dance the night away.
This response as soon as I sent over the gallery information... "Omg meg I absolutely love them you are amazing I couldn’t wait for Jamie I had to look at them straight away! X"
Their kind words
Megan and the girls were fab! They arrived early and stayed with us all day. They made everyone feel comfortable and got some great shots despite the weather not being on our side on the day! Thank you girls for capturing beautiful photos and our wedding video which we can look back on forever
