2020 Highlights - Wedding and Family Photographer - Megan-Sian Photography

2020 - I think we'll all agree it was a very strange year, for life and for business. My thoughts and deepest sympathy goes out to those who have suffered losses close to them. A huge thank you to the NHS staff and key workers for all their hard work, and still fighting to help us get through these tough times.

Last year, I thought I was going to be super busy with weddings, events and family sessions. I only photographed 4 weddings. 2 in February, 1 in October and 1 in December. I managed to photograph a few families before Christmas. With family members such as Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles etc not able to see their Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews, I was able to create beautiful photographs for Mums and Dads

to gift to their families.

How lucky were we to have one of the best summers on record! I took this opportunity to photograph the wonderful community I live in. Doorstep Photo Sessions became a thing and with this, myself and my eldest son were off on our bikes everyday for a week to photograph members of the village on their doorsteps. It was so uplifting!

I found the first few months of the lockdown easy, everyday in the garden, baking, crafting... all the Pinterest stuff that I had saved but never got around to doing. But I have to admit, it was hard. I was so worried, my eldest started to worry and the News didn't help. Did you find yourself glued to the News for the first few months? We were! Our new rule now is we have a News free house - it helps! I recommend it, even if it's just for now.

On a lighter note, I hope some of these photographs bring a smile to you. A community coming together, a collection of family photographs and

a handful of wedding photographs.

Sending love and well wishes

Stay safe!
